Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coffee Shop Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our bustling coffee shop. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, a strong aptitude for team leadership, and a deep understanding of the coffee industry. As the Coffee Shop Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, driving business growth, and creating a welcoming and efficient environment for both customers and staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of baristas and support staff.
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing performance feedback to ensure a motivated and efficient workforce.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
  2. Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
    • Ensure that all food and beverage offerings meet quality and safety standards, and comply with health regulations.
    • Monitor and manage staffing levels to maintain optimal customer service during peak hours.
  3. Customer Experience:
    • Champion a customer-centric culture by setting and upholding exceptional service standards.
    • Address customer concerns and feedback promptly, striving to resolve issues and enhance their overall experience.
    • Continuously seek opportunities to improve and innovate the coffee shop’s offerings based on customer preferences and industry trends.
  4. Sales and Marketing:
    • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, increase customer retention, and attract new patrons.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional events, social media campaigns, and loyalty programs.
    • Monitor sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Manage the coffee shop’s budget, including labor costs, supplies, and other operational expenses.
    • Track and report on key performance indicators, such as revenue, cost of goods sold, and profitability.
    • Identify areas for cost savings and implement measures to optimize financial efficiency.
  6. Vendor Relationships:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms to ensure consistent delivery of quality ingredients and products.
    • Coordinate orders, deliveries, and inventory levels to prevent stockouts and wastage.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the coffee industry or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, trends, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food safety and management certifications are a plus.
